Desjardins Asset Management

Desjardins Asset Management (DAM) is a group of investment experts recognized for its value-added approach and innovation with regard to its asset management, advisory and product development services. DAM, a Desjardins Group subsidiary, manages more than $46 billion in assets, chiefly from the equity of the Group's insurance subsidiaries as well as management mandates from other Group components.

DAM has a staff of some 170 employees working out of its offices in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Vancouver. DAM's professionals work in three investment segments: securities investments and financial engineering, mortgage investments and corporate financing and real estate investments.

Desjardins Global Asset Management

Desjardins Global Asset Management (DGAM), a subsidiary of Desjardins Asset Management (DAM), is responsible for developing and managing securities investment and financial engineering activities.

DGAM's main areas of expertise are:

  • Management of securities investments (money market, bonds, indexed shares);
  • Multi-management (selecting the best managers in the world in traditional and alternative management segments);
  • Development of alternative strategies using the quantitative expertise of DGAM's professionals and research partners;
  • Financial engineering (developing innovative products and concepts as well as designing advanced software to support DAM in its advisory role).
