Desjardins Venture Capital

Desjardins Venture Capital is the venture capital fund management arm of Desjardins Group. It manages the assets of Desjardins Venture Capital, L.P., a limited partnership, the 6 Desjardins regional investment funds, Desjardins – Innovatech, S.E.C., as well as Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, a public fund with close to 120,000 shareholders.

To meet the needs identified by businesses, Desjardins Venture Capital also offers financing in the form of equity and mezzanine financing, a financial instrument that combines the characteristics of a loan with those of equity financing. With over 30 years of experience in venture capital, the company offers financial solutions that complement the traditional Desjardins Business Centre financing offer.

More than a financial partner, Desjardins Venture Capital makes its network and expertise available to businesses to assist them in their growth and expansion, as well as their plans for mergers, acquisitions or public offerings. As of December 31, 2006, its portfolio included 274 affiliated organizations.

Desjardins Venture Capital has 24 business offices throughout the province, a great number of which are located within Desjardins Business Centres.
