Caisse centrale Desjardins

When the Desjardins Group does business with or accompanies businesses that are members of the caisses on the international markets, the Caisse centrale plays the role of financial agent. The Caisse centrale is a cooperative that belongs to the caisses through the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec. It offers financial services to the Group, to governments and to medium and large sized business.

As financial agent, the Caisse centrale is the representative of the Desjardins Group to the Canadian payments system and the Bank of Canada. When the Desjardins Group needs liquidity or to increase and diversify its sources of funds, the Caisse centrale is called upon to do so through securities issue and loans programs.
