Pauline D'Amboise

Secretary, Strategic Management Committee and Secretary General of Desjardins Group

Ms. D'Amboise has been with Desjardins Group for 20 years. In 2000 and 2004, she was appointed first Secretary General of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins and then Secretary General of Desjardins Group, with the mandate of coordinating the development, implementation and evolution of governance programs, codes of ethics and sustainable development policies for the cooperative integrated financial group.

Ms. D'Amboise attends Desjardins Group Board of Director meetings, is the Secretary of the Desjardins Group Strategic Management Committee and is a member of the Group's Financial Disclosure Committee. She has a great deal of hands on experience with boards of directors.

As the functional authority of the Fédération Board of Audit and Ethics, the Corporate Governance Commission and the new Forum on Sustainable Development, she ensures their mandates are carried out. Since 1994, she has been writing a column entitled "Gouvernance" in Desjardins magazine, which is distributed to over 30,000 elected officers and managers.

Ms. D'Amboise is currently concluding her studies for a Master's Degree in Applied Ethics at the Université de Sherbrooke. She is a member of the Corporate Ethics Management Council Executive Network of the Conference Board of Canada.

Ms. D'Amboise is also a member of the board of the Chaire en éco-conseil of the Université de Chicoutimi, the advisory board of the Centre québécois d'actions sur les changements climatiques and the Board of Directors of Éco Entreprises Québec (ÉEQ). She is also, since 2004, Vice-President of the Fondation québécoise en environnement fundraising campaign.

Ms. D'Amboise was recently Honorary President of the 6th Annual Prix femmes d'affaires du Québec Gala. This prestigious competition rewards women entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence in their work as professionals or executives of businesses or non-profit organizations. As an ongoing partner of this event, Desjardins is proud to support women whose commitment and perseverance serve as examples to others.
