Louis L. Roquet

President and Chief Operating Officer of Desjardins Venture Capital

Louis L. Roquet is President and Chief Operating Officer of Desjardins Venture Capital. He is responsible for managing the range of Desjardins venture capital funds, as well as those of Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, a publicly traded company established in 2001 with an authorized capitalization of $1,375 billion. He also sits on the Desjardins Group Strategic Management Structure Committee.

Mr. Roquet served as President and General Manager of Quebec's liquor board, the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ). Before holding this position, he successively held the titles of President and General Manager of Investissement Québec from 1995 to 2002, Secretary General of the city of Montréal, and General Manager of the Montréal Urban Community.

Mr. Roquet sits on numerous boards of directors of socio-economic and charitable organizations. He holds a degree from the Hautes Études Commerciales in Montréal as well as a doctorate in business administration from Harvard University in Boston.
