L.-Daniel Gauvin is Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Caisse centrale Desjardins and Capital Desjardins Inc., Desjardins Group.

Mr. Gauvin joined Desjardins Group in 1996 and held various positions including Senior Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer, Desjardins Group (2009), Senior Vice-President, Integrated Risk Management, Desjardins Group (2004-2009), Senior Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer, Desjardins Venture Capital (2002-2004); Senior Vice-President, Integrated Risk Management (2000-2001) and Senior Executive Vice-President of Finance (1996-2000) at the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec. Previously, Mr. Gauvin was Vice-President, Corporate Services at Nesbitt Burns. He was also Principal Partner and Vice-President, Finance and Business Development at Royal Trust as well as Vice-President of the Bank of America of Canada.

With an MBA in Finance from Concordia University and a BA in Commerce from McGill University, Mr. Gauvin currently sits on the boards of the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche en analyse des organisations (CIRANO), the Canadian Club of Montreal and Les Grands ballets canadiens de Montréal. He is also an active member of various associations, notably the Financial Executives Institute Canada (FEI) where he chaired the Board of Directors from 1995 to 1996, and the Club Saint-Denis de Montréal.
