Daniel Lafontaine

Member of the Council of Representatives - Centre du Québec

Daniel Lafontaine has been General Manager of the Caisse populaire Desjardins de Nicolet since 1991.

Mr. Lafontaine sits on the Board of Directors of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec, Caisse centrale Desjardins, Capital Desjardins, Desjardins Venture Capital and Desjardins Trust. He is also a member of the Credit and Investment Commission of Caisse centrale Desjardins and of the Portfolio Evaluation Committee of Desjardins Venture Capital.

Mr. Lafontaine was a member of the Board of Directors of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Centre-du-Québec from 1988 to 1991 and from 1998 to 2001. He also sat on the Board of Directors for various Desjardins Group subsidiaries, including Desjardins Financial Security and Desjardins General Insurance Group.
