Choose a good password for AccèsD and AccèsD Affaires

Your password is like your digital signature.

Never share it with anyone, save it to your computer or write it down anywhere.

If someone has your password, he has access to your personal information and can make financial transactions in your name. This is called identity theft.

AccèsD password

Your AccèsD Internet password must be composed of 6 to 12 characters. The first 3 characters must be numbers and the rest of the password must include at least 1 letter.

The following tips will help you choose a password that is hard to guess and easy to remember:

  1. Choose a phrase or song title.
  2. Take the first 2 letters of each word.
  3. Replace some with special characters or numbers.

Example: "Louis 14" becomes 100is14 (where the "L" is replaced by the number "1", the "o" by "0" (zero), the "u" by "0" (zero), and the ""s" stays as is).

AccèsD Affaires password

Your AccèsD Affaires password must be composed of 6 to 12 characters and contain both letters and numbers. It doesn not have to start with a number.

To make your password even more secure, we suggest you alternate between uppercase and lowercase letters.

Avoid:

  • Passwords that are easy to type, such as 123abc or 99999a, are also easy to guess and see when looking over your shoulder as you enter them.
  • The same password as your access code. Thieves usually try this number first.
  • A single password for all of your access methods. If a thief gets hold of your password, he'll have access to the other systems or Web sites you use.

Use the Microsoft password checker to see how good your password is.

If you think that your password has been compromised, change it immediately. You can do this yourself online on AccèsD or AccèsD Affaires, as the case may be.

You can also change your AccèsD or AccèsD Affaires password by contacting your caisse or Desjardins Business Centre right away.
