Identification and authentication

Desjardins ensures its members assets are secure by systematically identifying and authenticating its members before they carry out transactions online or at the ATM.

To prevent cheque fraud or following a case of identity theft, we will ask you to show your Desjardins Access Card when making transactions at a caisse or Desjardins Business Centre. Two recognized identification documents may also be required. You will have to show original valid ID; no photocopies are accepted. See the list of acceptable identification documents (PDF, 16 KB).

Furthermore, we follow up on each seemingly fraudulent e-mail that you send us.
