The Société historique Alphonse-Desjardins (SHAD) employs two historians who research the history of the Group and the lives of Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins.

The SHAD also offers advisory-services such as processing information requests, providing support for the research and writing of historical documents about the Group, and carrying out historical studies.
