2006 Winners
The winner of the Desjardins Business Ownership Transfer Prize, awarded in collaboration with avec Samson Bélair / Deloitte et Touche is Placage au Chrome de Ste-Foy Inc. & RMH Industries Inc., of Saint-Augustin de Desmaures - Pierre Juneau, Éric Moreau, Alain Langlois and Claude Régnier, Co-owners.
Placage au Chrome de Ste-Foy was founded in 1974, and RMH Industries in 1998. The former is developing a market for roller reconditioning to distance itself from the instability of the pulp and paper industry, while the letter continues to make headway as a repairs sub-contractor in the marine industry. The sale of the companies to a group of employees was done discreetly, to preserve client loyalty. The company's new challenges include actively managing operations and improving marketing efforts.
