Desjardins Microcredit to Businesses

New Desjardins solidarity product offered in partnership with organizations that are members of the Réseau québécois de crédit communautaire (RQCC).

Features

This product is geared to individuals or groups who are excluded from traditional credit networks and who:

• need support in learning the ropes of entrepreneurship and are open to guidance;
• submit a viable business project, in compliance with the current lending policy;
• are located on the territory of the partner community credit institution;
• agree to become or are members of a participating caisse.

Advantages

With this product, entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises can:

• access financing;
• receive close guidance to carry out their business project.

There are currently two Desjardins Microcredit to Businesses projects in operation in Quebec:

• Desjardins Microcredit to Businesses offered by the 18 Desjardins caisses in Eastern Quebec, in partnership with the Fonds d'emprunt économique communautaire (Quebec)
• Desjardins Microcredit to Businesses offered by 7 caisses in Laval-Laurentides, in partnership with the Fonds d'emprunt communautaire féminin

Desjardins and its RQCC partners hope to offer Desjardins Microcredit to Businesses in many Quebec regions in the future.
