In pursuit of its mission, Desjardins contributes to the improvement of economic and social well-being of individuals and communities. Of the $72 million it gave back in 2007 to communities in the form of donations and sponsorships of all kinds, $8.5 million was earmarked for arts and culture.
Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival September 13 to 21 Downtown Sudbury, Ontario is transformed into a bustling hub during the festival and more than 100 films are screened (documentaries, short films and animated features). ![]() From July 10 to August 16 Desjardins is proud to present Paradis du Nord, a large-scale historical show relating the highlights of the development and settlement of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Produced by Troupe À Cœur ouvert, this musical show features more than 75 comedians, singers, dancers and gymnasts performing on an impressive stage, with a multimedia projection and spectacular set. Shows are presented from Thursday to Saturday at 8:00 p.m., at Théâtre Desjardins du Colisée in La Sarre. |

Festival de Lanaudière July 5 to August 3 The 31st Annual Festival de Lanaudière presented a program highlighting this anniversary year. Festival-goers enjoyed the music as they picnicked with their families and friends. Festival international de la chanson de Granby September 10 to 20 Kaïn will be emceeing the 40th Annual Festival international de la chanson de Granby. Festival de montgolfières de Gatineau August 29 to September 13 To celebrate the Festival de montgolfière de Gatineau's 20th year, all eyes will be turned skyward to view 80 balloons, some with very unique shapes. On August 29, Desjardins will present a non-stop and varied program, including a show on the Main Stage featuring Canadian group Finger Eleven. Get to the Parc de la Baie free on STO-Desjardins shuttles or hop on your bicycle, which you'll be able to leave in the Desjardins bike parking area. |

Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée June 25 to July 3 Enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere of this yearly music festival in a small Gaspé town. The 26th annual Festival en chanson de Petite-Vallée included workshops and discussions. Desjardins awarded $1,000 to the winner in the "Artiste collaborateur" (collaborating artist) category. |
