![]() From April 9 to October 15, 2008 Dorimène Desjardins, a role model part of Quebec's history Desjardins presents a series of 9 cocktail meetings, an initiative of the YWCA, which highlights the key role played by exceptional women who contributed to Quebec's history. Hosted by well-known women, each meeting will discuss, respectively, Law, Politics, Health, Art and Culture, Sports, Science, Education. The last meeting will be a tribute to women. The YWCA's unique event also includes a lively historic section that relates the past of these women and the impact they had on our daily lives. And, of course, because of the essential role she played in Desjardins Group's birth and development, Dorimène Desjardins is one of these women. |
![]() A tangible way for Desjardins to continue the celebrations of Quebec City's 400th anniversary Special collaboration between Desjardins Group and the Royal Canadian Mint: Desjardins is the exclusive distributor of the new $2 coin with Quebec City's 400th anniversary as effigy. ![]() From June 20 to August 24, 2008 The world's largest projection presented by Quebec's leading financial institution Words cannot describe Robert Lepage's monumental work. Specifically designed to be shown as part of Quebec City's 400th anniversary festivities, the Image Mill is a never-before-seen, large-scale mosaic of images and sounds. The impressive architectural screen is made up of 80 side by side grain elevators, 600 meters wide by 30 meters high. Each spectator can experience 40 minutes of pure magic for the eyes and ears. |
![]() Starting July 18, 2008 The Wendake First Nation heritage highlighted by the leading financial institution in Quebec The Huron-Wendat Nation is the host nation of Quebec City's 400th anniversary festivities. Desjardins is presenting these festivities and particularly National Aboriginal Day, where the inaugural ceremony of the Amphithéâtre de la Nation in Wendake took place on June 21. Also, starting July 18, the historic fresco "Kiugwe, The Grand Meeting" is presented at the amphitheatre. What an excellent opportunity to discover yesterday's and today's Wendake and to become familiar with the exceptional culture and know-how of the Huron-Wendat Nation. |
