Bachelor's degree bursaries

Girardin-Vaillancourt Program

This program fosters one of the fundamental objectives of Fondation Desjardins, which is to encourage young people1 to pursue post-secondary studies.

As part of the program, the Fondation awards 150 bachelor’s degree bursaries of $1,250 each, payable in 2 equal installments. They are awarded based on applicants’ financial need, academic and social commitment and good grades.

Upon accepting their bursary, recipients must provide proof of full-time enrolment in a university program in the fall and winter session following the application.

Renewal

Applicants may apply for a renewal at any time during their bachelor’s level studies. However, they may only obtain one renewal, for the same level of study, which will then be considered as a first request. They will then have to fill out the required form again.

  • Be enrolled full-time in a university program at the bachelor's level (4 courses and at least 12 credits)

To collect a bursary, recipients must be a Desjardins caisse member or agree to become one.
