Bachelor's degree bursaries

Girardin-Vaillancourt Program

This program fosters one of the fundamental objectives of the Fondation Desjardins, which is to encourage young people1 to pursue graduate studies.

The Fondation awards 150 academic scholarships of $1,250 each, payable in 2 equal instalments in the spring and winter sessions. They are awarded based on the financial needs, scholarly and social commitment and academic excellence performance of applicants.

Upon accepting their bursary (at the fall and winter sessions following the application), winners must prove fill-time enrolment in a university program.

Renewal

Applicants may apply for a renewal at any time during their bachelor’s level studies. However, they may only obtain one renewal, for the same level of study, which will then be considered as a first request. They will then have to fill out the required form again.
