When I need a large number of copies, I send the job to the copy centre and ask for double-sided copies.
By creating separate English and French versions, not only do I consume less paper and energy, but I also save on the mailing costs.
When preparing a document, I limit the number of colours used. The more colours are used, the more print cycles are necessary, and the more energy is consumed.
I avoid full-bleed printing1, which requires more paper, ink and energy.
1. Full-bleed printing: printing an image all the way to the edge of the page.
