I think about saving paper and ask people to support my efforts

Green Office
  1. When I send a document by e-mail that should only be read on screen, I select a larger font without serifs. The document formatting will have to be adjusted before printing

  2. I suggest to my co-workers not to print my e-mails or the documents attached to them by inserting a one-line note about our paper-reduction efforts.

  3. I invite people to meetings by phone or e-mail.

  4. I answer meeting invitations without printing either the invitation or the room number confirmation.

  5. I use an overhead or video projector to facilitate my meeting and invite my co-workers to do the same.

  6. I avoid distributing paper documents to meeting participants or keep it to a minimum.

  7. If printed documents are absolutely necessary, I look after printing the exact number of double-sided copies I need myself.

  8. Before attending a meeting, I view the documentation on screen or I bring my laptop with me if I have one.

When you write an e-mail or create a PDF document you have the option of blocking the Print function. When you are ready to send your e-mail, click on Delivery Options and select Prevent Copying. However, if you use this option, we recommend adding an explanation to avoid user frustration and negative reactions. It's a question of providing good quality service!
