I use colour sparingly

Green Office
  1. I do my best to reserve colour printing for documents intended for external customers and only when necessary.

  2. I avoid using colour when preparing a presentation with graphics or tables. I choose grey or boxed areas instead to make deinking easier during recycling.

  3. I make sure to insert images as a background rather than as a template when preparing a PowerPoint presentation. This way, they won't be printed.

  4. I avoid colours like dark blue, red and purple that make deinking more difficult when printed pages are recycled.

The Board of Directors of the Fédération des caisses Desjardins du Québec has decided not to print its meeting documents in colour anymore.
