Desjardins Group partnered with the Ministère de l'Immigration et des Communautés culturelles (MICC) for the 6th annual Semaine québécoise des rencontres interculturelles (Québec Intercultural Week). The event, whose
theme was "Ici, on s'interculturalise", highlighted the importance of bringing together Quebeckers of all origins.
- Cultural community Discovery Days
For the past 2 years, Desjardins has been organizing Discovery Days, in which people from a variety of cultural communities are invited to meet with Desjardins representatives to learn the history of Desjardins Group and find out about career
possibilities. A total of 35 people attended these events in 2008.
- Newcomers to Canada are served in their own language
Newcomers can be served in 21 languages, facilitating their relationship with their financial institution.
- Financial management guide for newcomers to Canada
Desjardins makes available to newcomers a financial management guide (PDF, 277 KB) with useful information about savings, investments, financing and insurance.
- Desjardins Immigrant Investor Program
The Desjardins
Immigrant Investor Program offers business people and their families the opportunity to immigrate to Canada and, at the same time, contribute to the country's economic development. Guaranteed by the government, the program allows immigrants to get an
unconditional Canadian visa, permanent resident status and, ultimately, Canadian citizenship.
