"Although my home base is the caisse de Gatineau, I’m on the road 75% of the time. I meet with my clients where they are. I call it "being out in the field," and I love it! What’s more, it lets me learn more about their lifestyle – and that’s crucial in my profession. My clients talk to me about their assets – about everything from their loved ones to their car. We basically discuss their life. I’m responsible for consolidating everything they’ve put together in case of illness, disability or even death... Being honest with all of my clients is key because I have to earn their trust and maintain their loyalty.
Because they have access to a wide range of products, I have to know all the details of each one so I can suggest the product or products that are best for them. But, the most important parts of a successful service offering are good listening skills and being able to understand your clients' concerns with respect to the present and the future."
