In 2023, Caisse Desjardins de la Chaudière received an application for a major project on the grounds of Juvénat Notre-Dame. The project will be carried out over the next 5 years and will provide the community with a nature park along the Saint-Lawrence River. In cooperation with Caisse de Lévis, we'll be providing $150,000 from our Community Development Fund.
Desjardins will be donating a total of $650,000 through the GoodSpark Fund, which was created to support projects that will make a lasting socioeconomic impact in our communities.
The new park will be set up on the grounds of Juvénat Notre-Dame and will be open to everyone outside of school hours. The park will be open year-round and include walking trails, fishing areas, an agora, an outdoor classroom and a path along the river.
The new park will also help preserve local biodiversity and fish habitats. Protecting the environment is one of Desjardins's values, and we're proud to support a project that will do just that.
