Fondation du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec (CHUQ)
Desjardins Group made a $2 million donation to Fondation du Centre hospitalier universitaire de Québec. The money will be used for Université Laval's Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec research scholarships.
Through the commitment of the Quebec City caisses, Desjardins members are investing in the future and promoting excellence and advancement in health and science. The donation will finance a program, until 2021, for graduate and post-graduate research in fields like mother and child health and oncology.
Sainte-Justine UHC Foundation
Through a $2.5 million contribution made by Desjardins Group as part of UHC Foundation's The Campaign, Sainte-Justine UHC Foundation is able to continue training the best future pediatricians. The donation will help create the Fonds de la relève, which strives to further elevate the excellence of young UHC Sainte-Justine physicians, nurses and health professionals with a view to providing the best care to children today and tomorrow. The ultimate goal is to set up a $20 million fund to ensure the future and financial end of training.
Fondation du CHUM
Desjardins is pleased to support the new CHUM through a $2.25 million donation, which will help fund Académie CHUM initiatives. The Académie aims to improve the quality and safety of patient care and services through ongoing training and professional development activities.
